Marty has shared the stage with Bobby Radcliff, guitar legend
Danny Gatton, Fenton Robinson, Carey Bell, Bobby "Blue"
Bland, J.B. Hutto, Hound Dog Taylor's Houserockers, Jr. Walker
and the All-Stars and many others. He continues to play at festivals
and special engagements with internationally known artists. (Naturally,
he designed and illustrated the CD cover.)

Marty
Baumann has been a presence on the East Coast blues scene for more than
three decades. His CD "Let's Buzz Awhile" finds him channeling
the blues greats who inspired him from an early age. Washington, D.C.
was a hotbed of talented blues musicians when Marty began fronting bands
with his older brother in the 1970s.
Asked to name his major influences, Marty cites "Bobby, Freddie and
Eddie; Bobby Radcliff is an incendiary guitarist who dominated the D.C.
scene when I was a teenager. The classic instrumentals of Freddie King
were some of the first songs I ever learned and, I was heavily influenced
by the raw, driving guitar sound of Eddie Taylor."

some of the finest blues and jazz players on the scene today:
